UNDUENESS

Pickpocket Ladies at the ATMs, some wear Islamic Veils
PIN numbers on their mini cams are instant playback revealed
Black-shawled Ladies bump the tourists, lift wallets from each pocket
These bank cards help their men to buy, new El Qaeda rockets

So put your wallet on a chain and carefully guard your PIN
Be careful when you place your card in your purse again
Undueness exceeds what is appropriate, illegal and not proper
So cancel cards immediately and then go call the coppers

In future avoid undue regret, put a daily limit on your card
Excessive theft, impossible, to clean you out quite hard
Be careful who’s behind you, always watch your back
for ladies who crowd and bump you, and are dressed in black

Author’s Note: I spoke to an American Tourist over coffee in the lounge at my hotel in London recently. He had lost his wallet and $2600.00 USD had been removed from his bank account before he could cancel his bank card – ruined his whole trip. I showed him the chain on my wallet, told I had a $200.00 daily limit on my card and told him I never punch in my PIN if there is anyone behind me or crowding me especially at airport ATMs where veiled women can’t be ID’d and there is a mean looking bunch of dudes standing in the background watching the ladies at work. This poem tells of my advice to him and his wife, albeit too little too late.
