‘TWAS THE DAY AFTER CHRISTMAS

I go up this wonderful morning and looked all around.
Thank God there was absolutely no snow on the ground.
My little grand kids slept deeply and snugly in their beds
Surrounded by heaps of toys, Santa brought in his sled.

At yesterday’s Christmas Dinner we had our whole family near.
Except for Mark who’s in Libya, all family members were here.
Lynne cooked a huge turkey and we had Christmas good cheer.
We had a wonderful time. Let’s hope Mark is home next year.

Today Lynne will go shopping: it is a Boxing Day blowout sale
When mobs attack the stores, and of the discounts they avail.
I think I will stay home with TV, put my feet up and take a rest.
I must say this Christmas, was quite successful – ‘twas the best.
