THE FAMILY’S PRIDE
The grin upon his face was wide
When Joey’s chest it swelled with pride
Mike’s now reached Willbond family fame
He helped his team win each hockey game!
He practiced hard he skated fast
From end to end the puck he passed
Into the pie hole went the roundel
He made them ring the scoring bell
The red light too it did go on
And in his eyes each victory shone
Connie, Marybeth and Paddy’s loud roar
Were heard each time young Mikie scored!
The screams were loud from Myles McGarry
And his uncles Wally and Squeeze Box Barry
The family Willbond are proud of young Mike
Because he a player that everyone likes!
Perhaps in the future we’ll have a wonderful story to tell
Will Michael Joseph William Willbond reach the NHL?
It is the dream of his uncles and his Mom and his Dad
That when Mike finishes University, then we’ll all be glad!
