REGGIE’S SMILE

My Grandson, Reggie

My Grandson, Reggie
My Grandson Reggie has a nice smile
That you can see for half a mile
He loves to fish and check creeks for gold
He’s an honour student, only 10 Years old!

/This summer, Des and Reg and me
Went with Grandma and we left BC
‘Twas the first time wee Reggie had left the West
To visit Joe’s farm and the Willbond Fest!

We fished the Mississippi and the banks of the Clyde
caught a lot of bass, that Reg released with pride
With Mike and Joe we went for a three day ride
And rode the Maid of the Mist on the Canadian Side

We went to the hockey hall of fame
The CN Tower and a blue jays game
Reg talked about gold in the Caribou Creeks
As we went back to BC after a couple of weeks

‘Twas a great summer vacation to long remember
And Reg wrote a report of his trip in September
Reg invited his Grandpa to his school in November
To read armistice poems about those we remember

Reggie plays the piano – he does Taekwondo
He ran the school dance and he’s on the go
Reg is a fine student – the head of his class
he has a cute smile that attracts each wee lass!

Reg has a great future and he does well in school
And he tells a great joke, and he can act the fool
Reg is a great little lad and his grandpa is glad
That wee Reggie is loved by a great Mom and Dad!
