ODE TO A MENDED HEART

Shaylyn It’s been five long years
Of worry heartache and tears
What a way for a life to start
Our baby born with a broken heart

At birth they did a hold mend temp
By fixing up her damaged vent
Shaylyn would read, and run and play
And she watched videos every day

She is a beautiful little gal
Grandpa’s perfect little pal
This week they fixed the broken part
Of Shaylyn’s damaged little heart

So thank you God and all who pray
For making this a happy day
We’ve new Barbie Books. She’ll smile and grin
Welcome home my little darling, Shaylyn
