The school kid dressed in Orange and Green
Standing out amidst his friends, he’s seen
His white pair of sneakers appearing real neat!
His buddies, they wear their plain bare feet!
You could assist this little whelp
And send a cheque and that could help
Like my retired buddy Mr. Leighton John
A good man John he’s certainly not wrong!
John uses his Army pension cheque
He’s an old retired Army Signals Tech
You could do the same with little loss
