THE KNITTER, THE LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR AND THE BISHOP
I was sent a couple of photos, by our knitter Marge Munro:
‘Twas the Izzy dolls picked up, by a Lt Governor you all know.
The Bishop was a St Martin’s to bless each wee Izzy doll:
‘Twas Don’s last humanitarian duty, as our Alberta rep for ICROSS.
He’s now gone away up to Edmonton to be the new Alberta Royal Boss.
The new Lt Gov mailed the dolls out here to me.
And they have now travelled on down to the Island of Haiti.
The ladies at St Martin’s continue on just as before.
They knit those wee Izzy Comfort Dolls for the children of war,
Aids orphans, earthquake survivors, and of course, much more.
They knit those wee Izzy dolls for the world’s suffering poor!

Dear Billy:
As you know by now, St. Martin’s had over 1000 dolls and hats to turn over to Don on May 16th. We were all so thrilled that Don still came to St. Martins to collect the dolls as he was now our lieutenant governor at that time.
He is so deserving of his new post.
I had a new knitter in that bunch. Another lady did over 185 dolls and lap quilts…… and was then going in for a hip replacement on the 3rd of June. She is amazing and said she would get back to her knitting after she recuperated.
I’ve enclosed two pictures of Don and retired Bishop Gary Woolsey and myself at the service.
Be in touch……
Marge Munro
