BEAUTY – A SONG – AND A USELESS SPEECH
The pictures of the swan greeted me at dawn
In beautiful black and white
A plaque depicts the birth of the O’Canada song
John Leighton the poet writes through the night
A ground hog is useful – it’s food for the bear
Is the state of the union speech that fills the air?
This is the question on the poet’s blog display
As the dawn comes up and greets the day!
