The lines in the faces and the eyes that stare,
She captures the faces of the men that dare.
Trudy is an artist who captures each stark face
With the strain of battle and a touch of grace.

Her pictures, they hang in the Canadian War Museum:
About Matchee and Brown and a prisoner’s scream.
She captured General Dallaire with the ten-mile stare
And works now with a shrink who does wounded care.

She did Lew MacKenzie and that picture is cool:
The old peacekeeper’s sitting on a cold steel stool.
She captures the badges, the guns and berets:
The uniform tells stories of warrior filled days.
