Ours was but to stand and fight or die.
Our Country’s flag was held on high.
Our soldiers heard the battle cry.

NOW:
On civvie street our wounded cry:
On cold cement they sit and sigh.
On you is the torch to hold high.
On you at VAC[1], the time is nigh.
