THE YAWN

MacKenzie and Dallaire tried to reach the UN
Because they needed both weapons and men
But the guys on the job, in the big apple city
Were asleep at the helm, and that was a pity

While our guys in the field are serving with pride
Our reps at the UN, have their mouths open wide:
The casualties are counted in the light of the dawn
As our reps at the UN, continue to yawn

For years this has been a continuous story
Working short handed – not for pay – not for glory
Canadians keep the peace in each far off place
In the quest of harmony for the human race

Diligence at the UN!
God Bless the peacekeepers in the field and our Politicians and Bureaucrats who toil diligently at the UN!
