THE VETERAN’S CARTOONISTS – BLESS THEM ALL

We write peacekeeping poems and sing the raw tunes
To the beat of the old veteran’s newspaper cartoons.
Adrian Raeside is a genius, of local Victoria re-known.
He points out the faux pas down in Ottawa Town.

He pokes fun at Campbell the new rep to the Brits;
Our Canadian 10-68 who once drove drunk like a twit.
He points out the shortcomings, of our greatest PM?
Who claws back and mistreats elder women and men.

Steve lump sums our wounded and claws back our old vets.
On the 11th of November he says: lest we forget.
But what about the wounded, for the rest of the year:
His civvie-driven VRAB, they never shed a clear tear.

They used the pers files of Sean, Dennis, Col P@ and the Duke.
Then they carry on abusing veterans with barely a rebuke,
But our Cartoonists are wise and they see through the plot,
Pointing out where our wounded veterans are often forgot.
