Darkness is the cloud before the rain
and it’s seen in the frown of one in pain

Darkness is seen in an AIDS Orphans eyes
No Mom, No Dad, each night she cries

Darkness is the beauty of an African’s skin
and the faces on dolls sent by me and Lynne

Darkness clouds a tyrant’s mean heart
Bin Laden’s cruel work tore families apart

Darkness is a scream from the soul it’s one’s hell
deep in REM sleep – hear the RSM yell?

Darkness in the dawn just before the light
it awaits the sun to erase the night

Darkness covers our patrols out at night
when the.50 cal tracers are the only light

Darkness is the doom and gloom of one’s mind
the suicidal thought caused by drinking cheap wine

Darkness is defeated when conquered by light
Good conquered evil in the archangel fight
