William H.A. Willbond MSM, CD

Col once told me he had a horse named Billy that he rode.
Admiring our work with children of war on the charity road.
And he said he was pleased to know an old soldier like me.
Col is an Aussie soldier who fought to keep the world free.

Agent Orange in Vietnam has made many like Col ill
And there isn’t a cure, any operation, no pill.
I heard some bad news – that his liver has the cancer.
We are left with our grief because there is really no answer.

Col is a wonderful gifted poet who has deeply touched my life.
He is a brother in arms who is suffering a great strife.
I have lit a holy candle and will have a healing mass said.
I have added Colin Jones to my list for my prayers before bed.

Blessed Lord Jesus, in your mercy, open your loving arms:
Protect Colin Jones from further suffering and harms.
Ease his suffering and heal his soul and give him your peace.
He is fighting the good fight and deserves Your kindest release.
