William H.A. Willbond MSM, CD

The Poet, William Shakespeare, is a name
That continues to live in the halls of fame
With Julius Caesar and General Bonaparte
Each gets fifteen minutes, though they’re years apart

Presidents and Kings and Bishop’s with rings
Leave their names engraved on stones and things
But fame is fleeting, it soon gets lost, within the fogs of time
Saddam Hussein and Ozymandias had statues carved in lime

Sunday morning Choirs sing: Jesus Christ is the King of Kings
Soldiers kneel by dying friends as Jesus brings comfort at the end
God sent down to us his only Son, The Carpenter “Jesus” by name
Our Father who art in heaven, this prayer still spreads His fame!
