We out here in B.C. we all want to boast
About our Sidney Parade and our Canada Day’s host
Sgt Paddy Tower showed raw guts and power
And we are proud to have him as our man of the hour!

In Pashmul, Afghanistan, he lost his best friend
Heavy fighting last August, caused his young life to end!
Despite the ambush on the mission, it continued on
Into that battle, where the Commander was gone!

Sgt Towers led reinforcements to a nearby school
Took over command, as is the Infantry rule
He led his men to safety under heavy fire
And ensured that no one else would expire!

The GG she hung the rare gong on his chest
The Star of Military Valour! It is Canada’s best!
Sgt Patrick Tower he, is now home on leave
For his friends who are gone he continues to grieve

He is one of the reasons why we wear the yellow decal
As some people with signs on our PK parade did heckle!
We, out here on the Peninsula, are so proud of Pat
He is a true brave Patricia, and now a parade diplomat!
