ARE THE ISLAMIC BULLIES WINNING?

Afghan women are now virtually all under house arrest?
I thought we were there to make changes for the best?
A Swat Valley teenage girl was publicly given the lash.
President Karzai keeps receiving Canadian tax cash.

Khadr’s lawyer Bill Kuebler got fired from his defence job.
Possibly making a difference re the grenade that was lobbed.
Canadian Omar Khadr did Military recruit training in Pakistan.
Then he went to fight the coalition troops o’er in Afghanistan.

Liberals at home in Canada say they all want him back?
Saying Khadr was just a kid when he joined the attack?
Will a released Omar be a hero to our deep sleeper cells?
And will he end up by blowing, the CN Tower all to hell?

CANADIAN SOLDIERS SACRIFICE LIVES TO PROTECT AFGHAN WAYS

I was amazed at the news that the president of Afghanistan is likely to enact new Shia law which would see married women virtually under house arrest unless permitted to leave by their husbands. I was also amazed at hearing that western politicians are unwilling to take any unilateral actions because they do not want to seem as “meddling” in Afghan politics.

My question to our politicians is: Why are we sending our young men to die there?

KHADR’S LAWYER FIRED

NEW YORK — The U.S. military yesterday fired Omar Khadr’s high-profile navy lawyer from his job as chief counsel in the case, risking a potential diplomatic row with Canada. U.S. navy Lt.-Cmdr. Bill Kuebler got his marching orders from air force Col. Peter Masciola, who has since the fall headed the military defence lawyers at the tribunals in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Kuebler claimed publicly in February that Masciola was involved in bureaucratic manoeuvring that he said was detrimental to Khadr’s case. — CNS

TALIBAN FLOG TEENAGE GIRL

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan — Video footage has emerged in Pakistan of Taliban extremists flogging a teenage girl accused of having an affair, a stark illustration of the spread of hard-line Muslim influence in the region. The 17-year-old girl was beaten in the Swat Valley, some 140 kilometres northwest of Islamabad, about two weeks ago, a human rights worker said. Grainy footage shows Taliban men making the girl lie on her stomach. “For God’s sake, stop it,” the girl cries as a man whips her
across the buttocks. — Reuters
