Kevin was born in February 1954. He and Avril, his wife, have been married for 24 years. Together they have two sons, Dominic Michael aged 20 and Daniel Thomas aged 17.

After serving in the British Army in the Royal Army Medical Corps for 22 years, Kevin retired having achieved the rank of Warrant Officer First Class. He started writing poetry at the age of 11 at school, but did not really pursue the art in earnest until the Falklands War in 1982, when he lost a good friend. His poetry compositions have become more prolific since 19914 after returning from the Persian Gulf where he was deployed in the Gulf War (Operation Granby for British forces, and Desert Shield, Storm and Sabre for the coalition forces). “I have a great respect for the coalition forces commander, General Norman Schwarzkopf, as have all the British forces deployed at that time, and it has been an honour for me to have served under his command.” Kevin states.

Kevin now works in the National Health substance misuse treatment services in Lincolnshire in England.
