VETERAN'S DAY, 2004
Veteran's Day, 2004
Why do we choose
To lose many more
To view the news
Of a so-called war?
Veteran's Day, 2004
So many fighting in this new war.
A list of names engraved on a wall,
An alphabetical listing, killed in action, all.
Veteran's Day, 2004
The numbers killed doth soar
Granite inscribed upon THE WALL
That's ever-growing taller; All in all
Veterans stand always proud and true
Men and women the Proud, the Brave, the Few.
Veteran's Day 2004
Their posts, they manned
At their country's demand.
America's safety, freedom's at store.
Men and women proud and true,
Their time is due;
But How Many more?
Veteran's Day 2004
With angels wings they mightily soar.
On foreign soil they lay their lives down;
The smiles of Americans turned to frowns.
So let's ask louder please
HOW MANY MORE?
Veteran's Day 2004
I pray we'll hear a loud uproar.
Families holding breaths do wait
To one day also celebrate!
But for now I ask,
HOW MANY MORE?
Veteran's Day 2004
War is Hell
Let's Yell, Let's Tell
It's done; We've heard the toll of the bell;
LET FREEDOM RING
SO WE MIGHT ALL SING!!
