HEAVEN OR HELL

Do you hear the tolling of the bell?
I wonder each new rising, is this Heaven or is this Hell.
It surely can't be Heaven for there is no Peace on Earth.
We're not safe outside our houses or right before our hearths.
A new day is a' dawning; just like yesterday,
I wonder if tomorrow will be that special day,
When a new day comes arising and we can all just stop and play.
The sun is shining brightly and the breeze so softly sways,
The waters, softly rippling, in the rivers where they flow.
The flowers in bloom and fragrant, the leaves, they dance and blow.

Do you hear the tolling of the bell?
Can you tell me now please, is this Heaven or is this Hell?
Will the buildings and the cars still be blowing up today?
Or can we say that's over now, that's all in yesterday?
Will the death toll stop climbing, in numbers too big to ignore?
Or is war forever present, on this, and every shore?
I pray that's not the answer, I'm not sure I can take much more.
For the toll it's taking on us all, sure hurts clear to the core.
Do you hear the tolling of the bell?
A new day is upon us, might I welcome you to hell...
