YEARN

I had been feeling tired of late
I had a lowered heart rate
I wondered why this should be
I went to my doctor to see

My normal joie de vivre
A mixture of Pisces and Libra
Was on the proverbial blink
No energy to even think

A complete physical the doctor said
That or six months rest in bed
I’ll take the physical; I know it’s due
He looked me over through and through

He checked all of those things
Asked was I was allergic to bee stings
Did I have excess energy to burn?
He even checked my yearn
