WILLOW

Willow lived on Counsel Lane
In the village of Spanish Fork
Where the villagers were mostly sane
In the asylum where they worked

Willow’s job was counting pills
For the nurses to hand out
On Fridays she paid bills
And had a paper route

On her route she rode a bike
But she walked to pay the bills
She was finished by morning light
Then back to counting pills

Willow never took vacation
She never stopped to take a rest
But there was an indication
She wasn’t always at her best
