WILDA

Wilda had just turned thirty three
When she learned to twirl a rope
She watched Will Rogers on TV
And listened to him when he spoke

Old Will made a lot of sense
Never met a man he didn’t like
And Wilda never took offense
That she and Will had similar likes

Although she tried to find that man
Goodness knows she tried and tried
She came close with a one man band
But then the guy just up and died

So she never met the man
She could say she didn’t like
She resigned herself to the plan
She would just hate them at night
