GARLAND

Garland L. Young - 2002Of the seven seas
Garland sailed but six
He had only him to please
Until Mary got her pick
Now he drives his Chevy II
With Mary by his side
He just keeps sailing through
And Mary pays the fines
His Chevy II is dry-docked
It’ll never sail again
He just keeps the doors locked
For the safety of all his kin
Some day he’ll drive again
That lonesome Chevy II
Mary will stand back and grin
Saying, “I’m not riding with you”
