ELLEN JEAN

Ellen Jean, took sight unseen
A husband from the Isle of Skye
His mind was keen and eyes were green
But the whiskey he drank was rye

Ellen Jean was a precocious teen
She drank her wine and loved her beer
Her man from Skye was tall and lean
But loved his whiskey; it was clear

Ellen Jean loved her ale crisp and clean
Her man from Skye had no love for beer
But they drank the cupboards clean
They never ever looked back in fear

Then one day from a long nights dream
Ellen Jean mixed the beer and rye
She added an ounce of whipping cream
She said, “This you got to try”.
