HOME OF THE BRAVE

Valor is not measured in deeds
Nor is it measured in praise
Valor is an act that breeds
Camaraderie in spite of the haze

They walk among us in silence
Brave soldiers home from the war
They have suffered the violence
But are ready to suffer some more

They have given their very soul
But ask nothing in return
Only to be left in the cold
And be ceremoniously spurned

Valor has a high cost
Bravery is measured the same
For brave soldiers who lost
We have only ourselves to blame
