ANTHROPOMORPHISM FOR BEGINNERS
Suzie had been a bad girl
So off to confessional was sent
To repent of her sins to the father
And say ‘Hail Mary’s’ until she was spent
She reeled off her many transgressions
And the father tried hard not to laugh
He gave her a dozen ‘Hail Mary’s’
And off to the pews she did start
She muttered and mumbled to Mary
How she was so full of grace
And could she look after us sinners
From a child’s mouth this seemed a disgrace
Then a lady sat down next to Suzie
And stoked her hair so long
Making Suzie look up at the woman
And the shock nearly made her go blind
For there by her side was Our Lady
Full of smiles as she looked at the child
Then she said something to Suzie
That would change her forever in time
“You are not a real sinner dear Suzie
For your heart is too pure and kind
The world has not yet caused a tarnish
On the glitter of your soul within
Remember that love is the answer
And forgiveness the best way to show
That you understand others problems
Even if you do not really know”
Then Our Lady did vanish before her
And Suzie stood up before God
Saying, “Thank you for that Our Father
I’ll try and do a good job”
