Ann-Marie Spittle

Though I have walked dark pathways on my own
And others shunned me for my deeds on earth
He holds me in the comfort of His arms
And lets me know that love is not all dead
Though I have seen such horrors in His name
He tells me lies breed lies so quickly now
For man has turned their back on light this day
And it is hard to penetrate the dark
But as long as love is still alive
And a flower grows within the walls of hate
No evil can totally overthrow
The light of our hearts
If the path of right and love we take
