TO A LAWMAKER
You sent several thousand to die,
And had no answers when we asked why.
All that was thirty years ago;
Two thousand men are still not home!
You say they are not over there,
You turn your head, you do not care.
You left them over there to die.
Tell me, how can you sleep at night,
When US soldiers still remain
Trapped in the jungle, far away?
They fought your war, you play your games,
You really ought to be ashamed.
It’s time for answers, no more lies –
We will not leave our troops to die.
You’ve stalled for over thirty years.
The games end now, the buck stops here.
Mr. Lawmaker, you should know,
It’s time to bring our people home.
