FURMAN

I weep for me… these selfish tears that you see
for your leaving has greatly saddened me
I know that life… with age… does spoil
A body does grow weak and useless
after ninety years of faithful toil
and seeing your righteousness
I know God has called you home
to be with Him where you belong
because His ways were always your choice
In memory I will always see your dear face
and in the quiet times I will hear your voice
My very dear old friend…
goodbye is only for now …
… just until we meet again…
