There is little to say
I had no poem for today
… my words were silent
in shame hiding away…
For the guilty have yet to pay
The people of the Towers and Pentagon
the people on the air liners…
in the blink of an eye… were gone
There is no safety in numbers
… Fear still does linger on
Death may again strike without warning
… from the same hands that dealt it before
Knowing this I believe my muse is in mourning
