CAROLINA WEEPING

Staff Sgt. Jerome LemonAnother is killed
… another loved one
Another Carolina son
… a husband and father
of four children
Lost in an ambush on a road in Iraq
Nothing can ever bring him back
Daily the numbers mount and rise
lost under the cold gaze of foreign eyes
In a bleeding land of sand…
we are losing many a good man
Dear Lord… we lift them all up
… up to You in prayer… in prayer that
they are all now in Your keeping
… these lost heroes that we seek
Nothing can solace even the meek
or begin to cease Carolina’s weeping
