WALKING BESIDE HIS FOOTPRINTS
Life is sometimes like this earth
From mountaintops to valleys
With days as calm as a forest breeze
Or as restless as a city’s back alley
Some valleys are wider than others
Some mountains are harder to climb
But if we look beside our footprints
Jesus’ footprints we’re sure to find
From the valley in the distance
There’s a mountaintop in sight
The strength we need to climb
Will take all our will and might
If we can cross that valley
Then we can begin to climb
The peace on top of the mountain
We will be sure to find
Everywhere upon this earth
Our Savior walks with us
If the road gets rough, or we cannot climb,
Our Savior will carry us.
