Another voice comes closer,
Speaks louder now, and clear
It speaks about the final day
That now is drawing near

They aren’t the words of sadness;
They’re not the words of pain
They speak about the sunset
Not about the storm and rain

There is no need of shouting
For the words are sharp and true
Reminding me of dwindling days
That they are just a few

I’ve met the truth of darker days
And how they bring the load
I’ve felt the kiss of early spring
I’ve seen the world explode

I’ve watched us run in circles
Take this place and make a mess
Can’t say that I mind leaving
And that’s all I will confess
