You must confront some thoughts inside
When they come passing through
Or else you give them power
And they’ll eat away at you

It’s best you get up in their face
And tell them to move on
You cannot let them linger
Or you’ll find they’ve never gone

They come in every shape and form
And subject matter too
So often they will show up
Coming right out of the blue

For me I’ve always had a way
To put them in their place
I write them down on paper
And get back up in the race
