THE FOOL ON THE HILL

Last night a storm came calling,
To tear apart my night
It came with such an anger
As it blinded me with sight

It pushed and shoved and knocked me down
I heard it laughing loud
It was the world still growing sad
And mocking me so proud

You play the fool as always
In this time of never care
You stand and give a damn
Yet you’re the only one who’s there

You’ve vowed to never turn away
That you are not our friend
Well face the facts you fool you’ll lose
Though you fight until the end

And as we pass you by
You stand defiant on your hill
Not knowing that you cannot win
This angry test of will
