THE CLOCK

Have you ever had those days
The clock inside you ticks too loud
And conjures up those thoughts you know
Should never be allowed

Sometimes my body screams
So I will listen to it speak
Advising me the future of my walk
Is growing bleak

It never says it subtle
Being kind is not its way
And when it starts to talking
It will always have its say

It has some information
That is privy to a few
And coldly it reminds me
That I’m way past overdue

I let it speak its piece
And then I get back to my day
That clock is ticking faster
And gets louder everyday
