CONSTANT COMPANIONS

Companions ever constant
With their endless diatribe
There’s a river filled with words that’s
Always flowing here inside

They pass me at their leisure
And they bring what they will bring
I never go in search of them
But always hear them sing

I’ve learned they are a blessing
And a truth I’ve come to know
They let me lose those things inside
That I know need to go

We’ve journeyed long together
And we will until the end
The words are not my enemy
I know they are my friend
