CHILDISH

This might be my final day
It might be time to leave
Tomorrow’s just a hope
And not a promise to receive

It’s been a smile in spite of all
This world has had to say
‘Cause I’m out runnin’ round
Still finding those who want to play

I go and look for five year olds
Who just turned fifty five
In truth I must admit that still
The child in me’s alive

And I remain most humbled
By each day that passes by
For it brings another chance to
Spread my wings and hug the sky
