BLINDERS

We are born to be such giants
And to stand so very tall
While alone we are defeated
By the few who rule us all

Tell me where is our defiance
To the ones who write this play
As they rise up to deceive us
So that they can have their way

Tell you true it brings a sadness
As I watch us face the fall
While so many wear their blinders
And don’t see a thing at all
