WALKING TALL
My father taught me many things
As a boy there by his side
And one was keep my head up
I should always walk with pride
For I’m a child of freedom
Such a blessing so divine
And someday now my country
May ask me to stand the line
Though I wasn’t very big still
I have tried to walk so tall
That day my country spoke to me
I rallied to their call
So I fought for someone’s freedom
Like my father too had done
I volunteered to face the fight
I was my father’s son
And though victory was something
That the high ones would deny
I hold on to the thought
That we at least had made the try
