RIVER AMBUSH

When they sailed out there were many
When they came back they were few
There they ran into an ambush
And they did what they could do

They were cut in many pieces
But they stood their ground and more
And they fought them to a standstill
But that’s how it is in war

They still can hear the dying
As they fought until the end
The River was a place that
Cost too many they called friend
