Looking back at history
With all the battles fought
Back when Kings and Princes
Had to fight for what they sought

Led their armies into battle
And were caught up in the fray
But that was another era
And that was another day

Somewhere down the line
They got together and agreed
That poor folk were the only ones
To send to fight and bleed

Nice work if you can get it
Sitting back to watch the show
But that’s the way it is these days
For those that never go

We should go back to the old rules
Have our leaders lead the way
If they are the ones that started it
They should have to go and pay
