SO IT HAPPENS THAT I REFUSE TO LET MY VOICE BE ANNIHILATED

OH BELOVED LIBERTY!

So it happens that I refuse to let my voice be annihilated.
So it happens that I refuse to jail my days, my dreams,
my liberty that silently slips through my hands.
So it happens that I refuse to allow my ideals, my religion, my honor, my modesty, my God to be exiled.
Paper leaders.
Without shame, without skin, with souls of bitterness.
How many deaths have you seen falling?
How many mutilated dreams in the anteroom of improbable blandishments
Time does not matter anymore
I do not want this to be an eternal struggle.
Grief has covered America casting down my soul, livid in pain.

OH BELOVED LIBERTY!
Capricious in the air I want to see your wings fly,
lift my soul to the sky and let me escape from the jailer
who holds vengeance hiding his animal instinct.

OH BELOVED LIBERTY!
Today we are merely a cloud of gas in this sudden solitude.
