here now… with just my thoughts
Jan jumped in the tub
kids have gone… and grandkids
laughter’s echoes still faint
hauled the last bag of wrappings out
miss the little farts already
will see ‘em tomorrow at their church program
Syd’s gonna be Mary… lil Randy’s a donkey (small army mule?)
gotta wait a week for Jeremiah’s
season’s off to a fast start now
feelin’ a little old… but blessed
thinking back on many, many Christmases
spud guns, new bikes, hi-fi record players
absolute chaos, good times, sledding down suicide hill
cranberry and popcorn garlands on a crooked tree
……… and my Dad asking… did I buy you that?!
God I miss you Pa!
