SEVERE SLUMP

Seems everyone’s writing, and doing it well
My pen has gone dry, as you can probably tell
Guess it is just that I needed a break
Or perhaps an excuse to slip down to the lake

I’ve still been here daily, reading all of the rhyme
A penny for thoughts… heck, I’ll give a dime!
Don’t give up on me or send the black hearse
After all, I came up with this here lame verse!
