A woman married to a poet is a woman married to a romantic, way down to their core.

We tend to stay married because we sense, we understand. I will hit 35 years married this year, and sometimes it seems like yesterday we wed, sometimes like there never was life without her. She is both tether in the wind, and the freedom of a sunlit prairie.

We tend to need more care and feeding than the average man, I think, and when a romantic finds a woman who appreciates a romantic, marriage becomes all it can be.
