Richard W. Reith

There is a true love that survives all pain
A true love that ties like strongest rope
That defeats neglect and baseless blame
For how can there be love that does not hope?

There is a true love of eternity
That fights the constant battle of man
To discredit love and spit on trust;
Fights until love again can stand.

If she must his imagined flaws portray
If disappointment tries to turn love to hate
It is anger which made her their love betray
And their blessings of God to desecrate.

But in the end, true love endures
For love alone is born of God
And his love again will stand alone
Walking in isolation the road we trod.
