OUR OWN MORTALITY IN “H-RAY VISION”

Through the invention of radiocarbon dating,
History of ageing has been found –
For the skulls and skeletons of all living beings
Before they were heaven bound!
The joy in birth and sadness on death of mankind
Are part of life that we all face –
And nothing can prevent this, for wealthy or poor,
Or even those fortunate less!

As per neuroscience, the idea of death is engraved
In our minds since we are born –
In the form of an intuition, and as an inevitable event
That does really make us torn!
Animals are not conscious of their deaths,
Or concerned about their life’s stress seeds –
Likewise, the foolish individuals who think
They can get away with crimes or evil deeds!
Crime brings back severe punishment in the way
Of a guilty conscience without a doubt –
While sudden death of others reminds us
Of our own mortality followed by cry or shout!
Terrorism should make us think of wrong doings
That brings down tragic responses on us –
And allow us to re-examine the vital issues,
Deprived of the others, drenched with a fuss!

Only true love can detain terror, and injustice
Is the silent breeder of terrorism or turmoil –
While understanding of grievances we put on others
Can placate violence on foreign soil!
No one is capable of disordering his “own codes”
Without feeling uneasy or depressed –
And this has been proved in our daily life,
Beginning at early dawn until we go to bed!
A crop of criminals may come out from abused children,
Raised on drugs or neglect –
Followed by the crop of terrorists
From the loveless societies that may go un-detect!
The Tribal codes and modes are engraved in our minds,
As per neuroscience tale –
And require emotional love from families,
While cooperation has to ring the bell!
Fanaticism, on other hand, proclaims proudly
The survival of Armageddon, by only few –
Supported by hegemonic country in an accelerated fashion,
Mystified with morning dew!
No voice is being raised now to repudiate this evil,
Causing “big bang for a buck” toll –
And the mesmerized peoples are condescending
As if this is not true to affect the soul!

With the advent of 911, terrorism has made us aware
Of the sudden death with pain –
And people have rushed to wield weapons,
Build fences, and spread menace in vain!
By forcing others to cruel aggressions and
Bow against humiliations is definitely wrong –
‘Cause we nurture the snipers this way,
While the suicidal bombers play martyrdom song!

Our human brain brings in itself the intuition
Of our own mortality in a rapid manner –
But to get certainty of it converts us into adults,
And displays under a different banner!
Modern civilization has taught people to abuse themselves
On its own and others as well –
While the fanatics exclude everybody else,
And evil thoughts in their brains love to swell!
Now nations have become prepotent, full of rage
And think they can subdue or kill others –
But are unaware of own mortality, or sanctity
Of all living things, including own mothers!

Well, in my “H-Ray Vision”, I can see
That fanaticism has seeded evils over planet Earth –
And the delusions of false religious leaders
Are preaching Armageddon since our birth!
So, to avoid increasing our mortality, maybe
We should grab ancestors’ simple thought –
And respect one another to live in peace, and eliminate
Causes for battles we have fought!
