People enter and exit at will
Some will leave an indelible mark
Tony, your presence remains with me still
For thousands of miles may separate us
Words will build the bridge to our hearts
Face to face we may never meet again
But memories were made from the start
It took only a moment to know you
And a lifetime perhaps to forget
That wonderful day this summer
The day when first we met
How fitting the time and the place
It seemed it was meant that way
For the things we hold so dear to us
We’d share on that special day
If I could live it over again
I would ask for a little more time
To spend with someone as dear as you
A better friend I’ll never find.
